CORE VALUES

Core Values are the things that keep us healthy. Vision directs us. Passion for God and others fuels us, but Core Values keep us sound. They don’t tell us WHAT to do; they remind us HOW we will do what we do. Values aren’t simply taught. They are caught and learned over time. These values are always a work in progress and they must be guarded.

RELATIONSHIPS

            Matthew 22:37-40

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

We believe relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and others is of utmost importance. We lovingly encourage one another to demonstrate faithful commitment to the Gospel. Our heart is to live life together in fellowship, prayer and worship.

INTENTIONAL DISCIPLESHIP

2 Timothy 2:2 “You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.”

Our desire is to provide ongoing discipleship through teaching, mentoring and friendship and to discover our spiritual gifts and use them according to God’s plan.

VICTORIOUS LIVING 

2 Peter 1:5-8 “For this reason, make every effort to add to your faith, goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

We are committed to living out the Gospel of Jesus Christ with godliness and perseverance, in accountability to one another.

 EVANGELISM AND OUTREACH

Matthew 28:19 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

Our heart is to reach out to the local and global communities with the Gospel. We accomplish this by meeting physical and spiritual needs of our local community and through prayer and financial support to missions at home and around the world.

REAL LIFE WORSHIP

Romans 12:1-2 “Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

We strive to live lives that are a continuing sacrifice of praise in joyful obedience to the Gospel.
