Harvest House Food Bank
"For I was hungry and you gave me food,
I was thirsty and you gave me drink,
I was a stranger and you welcomed me."
At Harvest House we offer free food to anyone in our community. Participants are allowed to come once every 28 days for food. Rogue River Assembly of God gives out canned food, packaged food ( rice, beans, pasta, etc.), breads and pastries, milk products, produce and meat. We also donate land to Access for a community garden. During the growing season they offer a large variety of fresh produce. Last year we served 2,266 people, an average of 189 people per month. In addition, we gave out 864 food bags for an average of 72 bags per month. Our volunteers for the food bank put in over 1200 hours last year.
Harvest House is open Tuesdays from 10 am - Noon.
Faith Closet Clothing Ministry
"I needed clothes and you clothed me,
I was sick and you looked after me,
I was in prison and you came to visit me."
Faith Closet offers free clothing and shoes to the entire community of Rogue River, and the surrounding areas, regardless of income. Faith Closet has clothing of all sizes for newborn, children, men and women. We accept donations of clean, gently used clothing year round. Faith Closet is open Tuesdays from 9 am - Noon.
“For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor,
in your land."
Tailgate Outreach is our ministry that offers a hot meal, sundry items, canned food, blankets, and much more to the homeless and needy in our community. We serve 25-40 meals per week. Last year we fed over 300 people.
All of this is made possible by the generous donations and partnerships with our church, Rogue River Assembly of God, Hope Presbyterian, Hope Alive, Access, Rogue River Community Center and many individuals in our lovely community of Rogue River.
Tailgate ministers on Thursdays from 11 am - 3 pm at The Hope Alive Annex in the Rogue River Shopping Center.
A Night to Honor Veterans
"Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith;
be courageous; be strong."
I Corinthians 16:13
Each year, beginning in 2014, Rogue River Assembly of God has held a Veteran's Appreciation Night on the first Saturday in November. On this night we invite Veteran's from all over the Rogue Valley to join together for a free meal, music, inspiring speakers and the chance to gather with fellow Veterans and share their stories.
